My sensor is powered on but it's not showing up in the list of sensors on my phone

Be sure that your bluetooth device is not connected to another app. The bluetooth protocol only allows a single connection at a time. Once a bluetooth device is connected to an app, it will not show as an available device in any other app until it is disconnected from the other app.

If you're having trouble, try force closing all your other apps to make sure another app is not connected to your sensor.

Here's how to force an app to close.

  1. View your open apps. Double-click the Home button to see your most recently used apps.
  2. Find the app to close. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
  3. Swipe up to close. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.

I see my bluetooth device but it won’t connect

Tap on menu icon in upper left corner of the app, tap sensors, find your device, tap to connect. Messaging under your device name should read “connected”. Tap home in menu to return to workout page.

If heart rate device is not connecting it may be necessary to make sure your heart rate device is not connected to your iPhones bluetooth. To do this open the settings folder on your iPhone, tap bluetooth, find your device, tap the small blue “i”, tap “forget this device”.

Verify that your bluetooth device is compatible with 3rd party apps like PK Fitness. Fitbit and some Garmin devices will only work with their own apps and will not connect to PK Fitness or any other fitness app.

I'm not getting reliable readings from my sensor

It may be necessary to check that heart rate device is being worn correctly. Please refer to your specific heart rate device product guide to ensure proper placement.

Some strap style heart rate devices may require a very small amount of moisture to be applied to the pads of the heart rate strap. You may also use a pea size amount of lubricating gel to spread evenly on pads.

My Apple Watch is stuck on "Reading Heart Rate"

PK Fitness uses Apple's Health Kit to read heart rate data from the watch. PK Fitness must be granted permission to read heart rate from Health Kit or using the Apple watch app for workouts will not function properly. To verify that PK Fitness has the necessary permission, open Health on your phone, select "Sources", then PK Fitness. Verify that the toggle for reading heart rate is selected.

My Apple Watch workouts do not show up on my phone

Bluetooth must be enabled on your phone to allow workouts to be transferred from your watch to your phone. Verify Bluetooth is enabled by swiping up at the bottom of your phone to reveal control panel. The Bluetooth icon should be selected.

My workout stats look incorrect

Many of the stats for a workout are calculated using your profile information. To get the most accurate stats possible, please make sure you profile information is accurate. To view physical profile, tap on menu in upper left corner of app, tap profile, scroll down to physical profile section.

Note: The algorithms used to generate workout stats can vary widely in different fitness apps. However, the stats generated in PK Fitness are among the most accurate due to PK Fitness use of our adaptive effort model.
