We are delighted to announce our partnership with Azusa Pacific University! This summer, APU faculty and staff have the opportunity to participate in the APU Summertime Challenge to compete for prizes valued over $2,500. APU is passionate about providing their facility and staff with fun resources to improve their health and overall happiness, and the APU Summertime Challenge using PK Fitness is set on delivering just that!
PK Fitness understands that fitness is a journey, not a destination. That’s why our app isn’t based on performance or ability. Using PK Fitness, it doesn’t matter how fast or how far you go, rather how hard you work. The app uses the science of your own body to create an effort score that shows you how hard you are working. This effort score creates a universal language that can be used to share, compare, and even compete across any and all levels of fitness. This opens up a social, fun, and yet challenging way to track your fitness.
Starting June 27th, participants of the APU Summertime Challenge can track and record their workouts for an 8-week period. Participants who workout a minimum of 3 times a week for at least 25 minutes a day, with an effort score of 50 or higher, will qualify for weekly and grand prizes!
The registration fee for the program is $30 and includes a free Mio FUSE heart rate monitor (a $129 retail value) to use with PK Fitness. This is a pilot program and is open to the first 100 APU faculty, staff or students that sign up. Both APU and PK Fitness are excited to pilot this unique program to inspire and encourage the APU community to live happier, healthier lives. We look forward to seeing your workouts on PK and also to hearing your feedback on this new and innovative program.
